City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Board Announces Newest Addition to Board of Directors
The San Diego City Council appointed and confirmed Allison Soares as a member of the City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Board. The Parks and Recreation Board serves as an advisory board on matters relating to the acquisition, development, maintenance and operation of all city parks, beaches and recreation properties and facilities.
“I am thrilled to join the City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Board,” Allison says. “My family loves spending time at our city’s beautiful parks and beaches. San Diego’s outdoor resources should be treasured and I want others to enjoy what this city has to offer the way my own family has over the years.”
Allison also serves as treasurer and trustee with Forever Balboa Park, the City of San Diego’s nonprofit partner in sustaining and enhancing Balboa Park. She is also an at-large member of the City of San Diego’s Balboa Park Committee, which serves in an advisory capacity to the mayor, city council and city manager on policy issues relating to the acquisition, development, maintenance and operation of Balboa Park.
